My newborn sessions are relaxed and completely baby-led. There's no expectation for your baby to sleep the whole time and plenty of time for feeding, changing and settling.
You don't need to have anything figured out. Just turn up with your baby and I'll take care of the rest.

Newborn Session FAQ’s

I recommend booking your newborn session while you're still pregnant so we can reserve a spot around your due date.
Once your baby arrives, we'll confirm the actual date together. Babies obviously don't follow calendars, so there is some flexibility built into the process.

It really doesn't need to be.
I'm not looking for a perfectly styled or spotless house. I'm looking for good light, little pockets of your home where you naturally spend time and the things that make your home yours.
A quick tidy of the spaces you'd like photographed is helpful, but please don't spend the whole morning cleaning for me.

The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and like yourself.
I'll send you a detailed preparation guide with tips for choosing outfits, colours and textures that photograph beautifully without everyone looking overly matched.
For newborn sessions especially, simple and comfortable is often best.

I love newborn sessions in those early weeks, but there isn't one "perfect" age.
Those first few days can be sleepy and tiny, while sessions a little later can have more eye contact and personality. Your baby doesn't stop being worth photographing after two weeks.
Whenever you choose to document this stage, we'll capture your baby as they are right then.

That's completely fine — babies have their own plans!
When you book your newborn session, we'll work around your due date and adjust the session once your baby arrives.

We'll take our time.
Newborn sessions are baby-led, so there's plenty of time for feeding, changing, cuddling and settling. You don't need to worry about your baby being perfectly sleepy for the whole session.
Some of my favourite newborn photographs happen in the moments between feeds, cuddles and little bits of chaos.

Absolutely.
Feeding, cuddling, skin-to-skin and all those quiet newborn moments are a beautiful part of this stage of life. If they're meaningful to you, I'm more than happy to document them.

NEXT STEPS
1. Get in touch
Fill out the enquiry form and tell me a little about you, your family and what you're looking for.
2. We chat
I'll be in touch to make sure we're the right fit, answer any questions and find a date that works for you.
3. Lock it in
Once you've chosen your date, I'll send through your booking details. A 50% non-refundable booking fee secures your session, with the remaining balance due before your session.
4. Get ready
You'll receive your pre-session guide and questionnaire, followed by a personalised chat with me. This is where we can talk about your family, your home and anything you'd love to capture.
5. Your Session
We'll keep things relaxed and natural. No need to know what to do or worry about getting everyone to pose perfectly — I'll guide you when needed and let the rest unfold naturally.
6. Your gallery
Your finished gallery will be delivered online within 4 weeks, filled with all the edited images from your session. From there, choose your 15 favourites or upgrade to 30 images or the full gallery.
